Grading Policy
Formal grades are 65% of the total grade- This includes tests, quizzes and projects
Informal grades are 35% of the total grade- This includes homework and classwork
Of this 35%- 60% is classwork and 40% is homework

Homework, make up work and late work
Parents please read over the policies regarding homework, make up work and late work to work with your students in handling their classroom responsibilities. Please let me know if there are any questions.
Homework
Homework will not be assigned everyday. Homework will only be assigned if a student does not finish their work in class. The end of class procedure is as follows.
1. Class work will be checked off before students leave.
2. If class work is not finished during class and is required to be finished for homework, students will write the assignment in their agenda and it will be initialed.
3. No student is to leave the class until their class work or agenda has a check mark.
Absence and Makeup work policy
- If you are absent the day any assignment is due, it should be turned in on the day you return to class. If not, it will be considered late.
- If you are absent the day a test or quiz was given, you will be responsible to taking the test or quiz on the day of your return.
- Makeup work will be in the folder on the board with your name on it.
- If absent, students have 5 days to make arrangements to get their work turned in. Absent work will turn into late work if it is not turned in on the agreed upon date.
*** It is the student's responsibility to get their makeup work work turned in by the agreed upon date. It is not the teacher's responsibility to ask for your work.
Late work

- Reduced credit will be given for late work. 10 points are taken off for each school day the work is late.
